Given the division Arkansas is in, his recruiting level and talent......what is his ceiling? What type of season should be considered a success by Hog fans? 9-3? 8-4? He's a great coach, it just seems like he doesn't recruit enough elite athletes to win 10-11 games more than once every 4 or 5 years.

Very high, but he's too heavy to reach it.

You're looking at it... 9-3ish with a 6-2 max conference record.

An exception could be made if he gets a Russell Wilson type season from a QB... otherwise, slightly above average

I would imagine his ceiling would be the National Championship

He's been improving year over year. I'd like to see where he ends up before we get the pitchforks and light fires. The A&M game was a let down, but the better team won. Frankly, I'm worried about all the SECw games, and even the UF game. We don't have any "gimmies" on the schedule with exception to possible Mizzou and State (no offense guys).

It is what it is. We'll see at the end of the year.

One of the big 6 bowls every 3-4 years beginning in year 5.

It will happen... it will happen...It will happen... it will happen...It will happen... it will happen...It will happen... it will happen...It will happen... it will happen...It will happen... it will happen...It will happen... it will happen...It will happen... it will happen...It will happen... it will happen...It will happen... it will happen...It will happen... it will happen...

I don't think anyone should be lighting fires. I was asking a general overall question based on the talent level and his coaching compared to the rest of the division

7 wins. We warned ol Miss about nuttZ Wisconsin warned us about Bert. He is a 5-7 win coach. Poor recruiting and drain freezes are why he will be at Iowa in 3 years. His style with our recruiting limitations won't work here. Maybe lay off the tv show and recruit better. Seat warms a little with a 6-7 win season. In year 4 we can't patch a O line together and running game is so so

Dude, you know me - I'm not trolling. I could be way off base, and I'm not try to throw shade at Mizzou (or State). We're playing at Mizzou, and at the end of the season. You guys might come out and light us up. I don't know. I'm just trying to get a feel on the season

I know you're not trolling, I just don't see how you could think that.

The middle of the conference is really anybody could beat anybody type of thing.

9-3 overall, 6-2 in SEC.

I think he is a good coach and man.

The SECW is a very tough place to compete.

Agreed (so much) about the SECw, but a 9-3 ceiling? If Arkansas had beat their cupcakes last year, we would have been a 10 win team. That's just the cupcakes. I know - wold have, could have, should have, but I think that plays into their ceiling.

I'm not going to disagree that Arkansas is at a recruiting disadvantage to the rest of the SECw, but I also think we have the coaching staff in place to overcome those obstacles.
