This isn't even close, A&M.

Better facilities, more money, and way more access to recruiting. Tennessee has facilities, but everyone does.

I'm going to go with UT. They were real good two decades ago. Also, they have a much larger fanbase. By that, I mean, of course, that their fans are fat.

Those two have two combined national championships. With that said, TAMU has a better chance of winning one going forward. UT has too many programs pulling from Atlanta to be consistent.

Tenn for multiple reasons IMO. First they are willing to hire someone and give them time to build the program. I think whoever replaces Sumlin will have a short lease. Second aTm is in the west and since joining the SEC has been maybe the 4th or 5th best team in the division. UT is in the east and even with the current situation has been a contender the last few years especially with how bad the east is.

UT & SEC East far better situation to walk into.

Plus who wants to coach a team with male cheerleaders.

We've been the third best, unless you give Auburn extra credit for one great season and ignore their winless season.

In all seriousness though, I'd go with Tennessee. East is easier to win in, hungry passionate fan base, recruiting can be done at the same level there as at aTm, if not higher (just have to get some people from out of state). So vols all the way

Basically a toss up but I would definitely rather live in the mountains rather than the heat in Texas

The aggie campus is a complete flat wasteland.

Tennessee is gorgeous.

Tennessee gets the nod.

Tennessee and it isn't close.
1. UT is in the weaker division. Even when the east powers (UF & UGA) are great, UT will still get Vandy, UK, South Carolina, and Mizzou every year.
2. People make a big deal about A&M's facilities but UT has facilities that are just as good
3. Look at history. Tennessee has done and proven way more than A&M has ever done.

Only clear advantage A&M has is a solid recruiting base. Everyone would agree that Texas high school football has a lot more talent than Tennessee. However with a great coach at UT, players will be lining up to go play in Knoxville

Lol @ the morons in this thread saying Tennessee.

"History" and a prettier campus are the only things they have an advantage in.

Tennessee has a ton of talent in a 250 mile radius of campus, but A&M has far more.

They're like LSU was before hiring a competent coach. No idea why they haven't won big yet.

I'm completely biased but I don't think Tennessee wins this discussion in 95% of the categories, the biggest being:

1. Easier to recruit to, we're 2 hours from 3 of the 4 largest recruiting hotbeds in Texas.

2. Available funds. If a coach wants something here, he's going to get it, the money will always be there one way or another.

3. Salary, Tennessee cant match anything were willing to pay, not only the head coach but we'll be able to offer more to the entire staff. For reference, what I've heard is that we'll be able to offer $6-8mil/year to our next HC depending on their history.

4. bullshite category, but Legacy. Indisputably our best coach was R.C. Slocum who coached at A&M for 13 seasons with an overall record of 123-47, including 3 conference champion ships in the SWC and 2 divisional championships in the Big 12, but in all 5 of those years we lost the cotton bowl 4 times and the sugar bowl once. There's a legacy to be built here.
