Great read....His college numbers will never be matched and it was all without a 3-point line.

LSU would have found a way to lose. I always liked Rupp's philosophy: let Maravich score 50 and shut out the other 4.

Oh I absolutely wish he would have played at UK. I was raised with the gospel of the Pistol. I actually went looking for some old press clippings about his games against the cats and found this old one from his senior season. Kind of interesting: LINK

The Pistol was amazing. If he had just a bit of help, LSU would have been dominant in his career

Wrong. Pistol Pete was a one man show, and played that way.
