Would Les still be coaching in Baton Rouge?

Dude, they snapped it 2 seconds after the whistle blew that everyone heard

Then the qb was over the line of scrimmage

And to top it off the reciever was in an illegal formation

Seems like LSU guys were so mad at the refs, they fired Les.

So, why fire Les when it wasn't his fault?

Last play? Did you think that there was no illegal shift? Maybe the receiver actually made it out of bounds?

Shocked to see Warrior Punto and Sarge in this thread obsessing about daddy

No one was screwed. The game is over. We lost. There was an illegal motion on the play anyway. It wasn't called, but there was still illegal motion.

Maybe not after that game, but I think Les would have been fired during the season anyway. Anyone who pays attention to LSU football knows the death spiral was gaining momentum. Auburn is a really bad football team. That tells you something about LSU right there.

We have two narratives going.

1. Les lost that game and it was the final straw, 4 games into the season.
2. The Refs screwed LSU. They should have won.

I just confused.

If LSU got screwed, Les should still be employed.

We should have never been in that situation in the first place. Wasted time out in the 3rd quarter because, once again, we couldn't get a play called. Wasted valuable seconds on that drive alone. Aside from that, we should not have had to come from behind to win. Auburn is really bad. Les is rightfully no longer employed.

You knew the answer to this, but Les was a dead man walking. The LSU administration was going to fire him after his next loss (unless it was a tight one to Bama).

I understand this doesn't follow the troll narrative, but can you imagine the shite LSU would take if they fired les after a last second win against an SEC west opponent?

That is what is so confusing about this entire situation. Did anyone expect LSU to go through the season undefeated? Is a last second loss to Auburn in Jordan Hare so bad as to warrant dismissal in September?

What a terrible decision. The administration needs to be summarily fired for such thoughtless, emotional, panic-ridden decision-making.

LSU has lost on the road to two very talented teams by a total of a touchdown between them. Five ranked teams are still left on the schedule. If Les really needs to go, it will be clear as the season progresses, but I have seen teams turn it around after a tough early season and go on to win out against serious competition.

The program's momentum continues. They can still fire Les at the end of the season, and the next guy steps into a perfect situation.
