Borrowed being a kind way of saying stole, of course.

Some of the more well known around the SEC:

LSU "borrowing" Death Valley from Clemson.
Easily explained as "Deaf" is too hard to spell without Us and silent Xs, I guess.

Bama "borrowed" their current uniform design from Arkansas who debuted it two seasons prior.

Aggy "borrowed" the 12th man from Minnesota who started using it 22 years earlier.

So what has your school "borrowed" from others?

Nothing. We are the trailblazers of this conference. Everything started and will finish with us.

Don't know when Bama started using what is now their current uniform but they look nearly identical to Arkansas' throwbacks

No, Bama deserves all the credit for recognizing style and patterning greatness.

The team and year changes every time this story gets told. Last I heard prior to this was we stole it from Iowa who started using it in 1917. I've heard it told with Wisconsin, Nebraska, Illinois and several others.

Arkansas debuted the mascot on the side of the helmet in the 1964, a trend soon copied by Texas and others.

Before that going back to 1958 the unis were just like Bamas current unis, red helmet with numbers on the side, before that they wore white helmets.
