Interesting. How many of those are AP, Coaches, BCS, or Playoff (basically, those universally accepted)?

We only care about SEC titles. No one cares about your SIAA or Southern Conference titles. We care about the 8 SEC titles.

These threads are stupid, but I'll add this...the point of Auburn mentioning titles in 1983 and 2004 gets back to the nature by which the champions were chosen. Give the exact same circumstances and rosters in either season teams named Bama, Ohio State, Texas, etc...would have been awarded or given a chance to win the national title. The talent disparity between 2004 USC and Auburn would assure the victory for the the team holding the talent level of Auburn 2004 against USC 2004 no matter their name...Bama, Ohio State, Texas, etc

They have as many SEC Titles the previous 50 years as Mississippi State as you can see on my other thread.
It makes sense why they are always trying to pick on MSU. They have such an inferoirty complex on Alabama that they take it out on MSU

Correct me if I am wrong but you have been "picking on" OM and MSU...=

It's been covered numerous times on this board and the MSB and 1983 Auburn is up there among "worst screwjobs ever".
Honestly, it dwarves 2004. You had the team with the best resume against the hardest SOS ranked #3 going into the bowl season and #1 and #2 both lose and a team with a vastly inferior resume in Miami jumps them because they beat Nebraska in an awesome game, while Auburn's game against Michigan was a defensive struggle.
Father time is undefeated, and people want to forget about things that happened 30+ years ago, but there are still enough people alive from back then that remember how fricked Auburn was.

I've always thought that LSU getting in the game in 2003 hurt Auburn's chances a lot. All of the media and talking heads wanted a USC/Oklahoma title game in '03, evidenced by the AP voting USC number 1 even though they didn't play in the championship. I think they were determined to get that match up the next year if at all possible.

What has Auburn really ever accomplished for their fan base to be so arrogant?
Gave us 2 of the most gut wrenching losses ever in a span of 3 years.
And
Made us watch a coach with some bodacious man boobies.
Thank goodness we win a nattie once in a while or it would all be just too much

Bowling Green canceling on us last minute and playing OU instead is what ruined our chance for the game. Had we played them, we would have had enough points to go ahead of OU for the game.

Depends on how you count championships. I'm either behind the 16 claimed (the Bama counting method), or I'm prophesying (taking the 6 AllIn2010 pointed out from '83, Stallings' 1, and Saban's 4).
Either way, I am fine with any fan base claiming the AP, UPI, Coaches, BCS, and playoff championships. Those are all universally accepted. And however many you wanna give us credit for, it's still more than anyone else so that's cool, too.
