What happens to your coach if 2016 results are the same as 2015?

Will your program start shopping for a new coach if your team has the same record this year and loses to the same teams? Obviously not talking to you Bama fans.

No, he wouldn't.

But that buyout drops from 15 mil to like, 5 mil after this season. He'd be toast.

I bet the amount alumni would withhold if he WASN'T fired after another season like last year would make his new buyout look like chump change.

8 wins will not force Sumlin out

Not sure if the plug would get pulled on Butch or not, but I am sure he will be VERY unpopular around here if things are no better than last year.

Bert's seat starts to get warm. Another loss to A&M without signs of improvement across the board starts to get quite a few boosters irate. In all honesty losing to A&M is worse for Arkansas then losing to someone like Ole Miss or LSU.

Arkansas tends to hit the same recruiting trails as A&M and notching up wins over Texas teams is the only way we can increase our profile in the Lone Star State enough to start drawing in the recruits we need to improve.

A rare point of agreement between us! I'm drinking in our honor right the hell now.

9-4 would likely save his job, but the seat would still be warmish.

If dogs marry cats and Charlie Strong has a 9- or 10-win season, all bets are off unless Sumlin gets one more win than him. (Based on absolutely nothing, just a gut feeling.)

It would make a lot of coaches day to see both get fired
Would make Tom Herman feel like the only pretty girl in town

I'm not a "yay coaching staff" guy, but I truly believe Sumlin has finally assembled an SEC-worthy staff, and we'll be fine. We'll see how they do. Agreed on Herman, though. Maybe not Texas or A&M but that guy is going to make a lot of money somewhere in 2017.

A better balanced offense will not hurt
There is no reason why A&M cannot play physical football if need be. Nothing wrong with spreading the field but I believe physical football wears on the opponents mind.

That would bring on the downfall of LSU

If you fire Miles what type of coach could you get to replace him

Anyone that cares about job security will not go to LSU to replace a coach who wins 8 games in the bad years

It would bring on Gerry Dinardo like results to LSU
