Apparently not as good as we thought. Did not help that our o-line lost many battles in the trenches. Made up for the lack of run with the passing game. Just came up short in the score.

Definitely the big mystery as far as I'm concerned. Not sure it would have made a huge difference giving how the defense played, and Mettenberger carried the team, but the running game vanished. Very disappointing.

One game isn't indicative of the team's talent. Just like any mature, smart football fan shouldn't say that Alabama's defense sucks just because they allowed 42 to A&M in one game.
