I'm just bored and curious. Also, does he have the players to use his entire playbook? I'm also curious about the defense and the philosophy behind it. Thanks and please don't turn this into a flame thread. Serious discussion only.

I don't really know what his philosophy is, but I know it's easy enough that a gymnastics administrator can run it.

There hasn't been much serious discussion on this board since before ATPB.

Look dude I'm sorry for being a bitch lately. I got my panties in a wad and I'll be more chill from now on. Now answer the question slick.

Goddamn it. Does anyone actually want to discuss football here? I feel like I'm in the presence of a bunch of children.

Better version of LSU offense...similar to State with more finess players

It is hard to know exactly what CBJ wants to do, seeing as how we've been limited by depth and talent issues on offense over the past couple of seasons.
Essentially it is a HUNH offense with a zone blocking scheme that emphasizes the running game. The OL should have a pulse this year, and UT will have two SEC quality RBs for the first time in years, so rushing ypg should go up significantly.
Clearly the read option is the main tool in CBJ's toolbox, which made the offense cringe worthy with Worley under center. Dobbs ability to run really had the offense clicking towards the end of last season.
I have no idea what the philosophy will be in the passing game this year. Dobbs has some arm strength, and has supposedly progressed a lot on his deep ball accuracy, so I wouldn't be surprised to see some of the WRs shine this year. Passing game was predicated on short to intermediate routes last season, but I think that was out of necessity.
Bottom line, UT will look to establish the run first and foremost. While a dual threat QB isn't a necessity, according to Butch, it sure makes the offense run much more smoothly. Also, UT will have nothing but big 6'3"+ WRs on the outside this season. I believe they want to take advantage of that with a lot of outside running plays to Kamara. Best I got as of now. Thanks for the quality thread.

He's a rich rod disciple. It's theoretically rich rods offense.

He likes his QB to get sacked a lot. To keep him humble.
