You mean the one where a bunch of wins had to be vacated?

Vince Young went to two pro bowls and Ricky Williams joined the 10,000 yard rushing club.

Both put Johnny Football's career to shame.

BCG and Kentucky were just a bad fit. BCG worked miracles at A&M and took us from winless in the Big 12 to the Sweet 16. He's a hard arse coach that "coaches up" players after he's broken them down. His results prior to Kentucky can't be ignored.

Nah. He's an amazing coach, just a terrible fit for Kentucky. His hardass style works wonders with fair to middling type players who can be coached up. It does not work at all with blue chips who are just passing through on their way to the NBA, because they don't need him and won't put up with him.

Can't explain the UK years. I think he just got foggy-eyed. It's one thing to turn an unknown program (UTEP, A&M) into a contender. It's all house money. The expectations of a pedigree school like UK is just a whole different animal.

By the time he got to Tceh, he was a burnt-out shell.

His work this year at Ranger is beyond impressive. The program won TWO games the year before he got there. This year, they didn't lose a game until the regional tournament final, then lost the national semifinal and consolation games. They forfeited their first 4 games due to an LOI paperwork issue. (In one of these games, the other team had the same problem, so BOTH teams lost, officially.)

I can't blame UK fans if they never give him any credit. But, his candor in dealing with his demons and the approach he took this year (including paying for facility upgrades out of his own pocket) is what we all say people should do when they fail. He's owned his failure, has not asked for anything other than another chance, and is succeeding again (at his own alma mater).

He may just be one of those guys who can't stay somewhere longer than a few years because his "hair on fire" approach can't be sustained (think Jimmy Johnson). I give him lots of credit for what he has done, though.

flagrabtly violating NCAA practice rules, making Patterson run with blood coming out of his shoe, forcing Jasper torun sprints up and down the arena stairs with a stress fracture, forcing Stevenson to ride back in the equipment trailer instead of the team bus, players having to sit locked in bathroom stalls while he holds team meetings screaming at them like a child does not make him an amazing coach who just did not fit in at Kentucky.

He's a punk arse drunk piece of shite. He only "worked out" at A&M because of Law and Jordan.
