What does your coach have to do to keep his job in 2016?

Specifically the coaches in a make or break year - Miles, Butch, Malzahn, Sumlin, Stoops.

If you had to put a threshold of wins, what you want to see on the field, who you need to beat, etc how would you estimate it?

Thanks for your time.

I think miles needs to make a serious run at the playoffs
Were going to be young after next season

I'm thinking 9 wins minimum.

Not my coaches, but here's my view as an outside observer:

Miles: at least 10 wins regular season

Butch: at least 8 wins regular season (but if he doesn't win the east, his seat will be very warm).

Malzahn: don't know

Sumlin: at least 8 wins regular season

Stoops: go bowling or else

These are my estimates. I am not in your fanbase so feel free to correct me.

Miles - 10+ wins in the regular season, no November collapse, more offensive versatility
Butch - 10 wins, win the east, end one of the streaks
Sumlin - contend for the NC. Essentially a lame duck due in part to off the field issues
Malzahn - 9 wins, competitive against Bama, just be competent and sharp again overall
Stoops - 6-7 wins, bowl game

I'm not so sure Butch can survive another 8 win season

Sumlin pretty much has to go 15-0 now with his latest frickup.

All of this.

Pressure cooker will be IMMENSE for Les this season.

He has absolutely no margin for error.

He will have to be apart perfect.

We should be pretty good in 2016. Time will tell.

As we all know, it's all riding on November 5th, as always.

He certainly can if he beats Bama or Florida. If he loses to both and wins just 8 . . . it will be close.

I think Butch has to go 9-3 with that schedule

Must Win
Appy State
Virginia Tech
Ohio U
@ South Carolina
Tennessee Tech
Kentucky
Missouri
@ Vandy

Need to win at least 1
Florida
Alabama

Needs to split
@ Georgia
@ Texas A&M

You didn't list A&M at all.

As much as y'all hate it, he can survive another loss to Bama if the season is otherwise successful, correct?

I think they are a game he can lose because its on the road and no emotional attachment. Georgia too since they got them last year and it is on the road.

Gotta either beat Florida or Alabama and win all the ones they should.

For most of these guys it is no so much wins and losses but rather looking good in the areas that the fans are frustrated about.

LSU: 9 wins. Offense and passing game has to be upgraded enough to gain the confidence of LSU fans again. Win or competitive loss to Bama

Auburn: Same deal. Auburn could go 8-5 again like in 2014 and Gus would be fine. But he would have to do so with an electric HUNH offense that gives Saban fits in the Iron Bowl.

aTm: 8 wins and offense has to look like pre-2015 Sumlin offenses again.

Tennessee: 8 wins. Will need to show that he can finish games.

The 2014 offense was pretty shitty. The 2015 offense was just WORSE.

The 2012 offense was held below 30 points twice. Never below 17.

The 2013 offense was held below 21 points once.
