When you step back and look at the big picture this doesn't make sense...

He already recruits SEC level players without playing the SEC schedule.

LSU fans...So you're going to fire Miles and pay his buyout. Ok...Can you offer a contract better than this?

LINK

$5 mil base salary in 2015 + $100k per year
$44 mil thru 2022

Potential Bonuses:

$1.2 mil if stays till end
$200k for natty
$100k for 1st in ACC
$50k any other bowl
$50k for ACC coach of year
$75k for AP coach of year
$250k for meeting GPR goals

Tell me why he would leave that contract and schedule. What would LSU offer salary wise? It's going to have to be a lot more than $5.1 million...

I doubt FSU is going to let him go without a fight. It's also much easier to recruit when your school is located in the state of Florida....

Better program, better assistant play, better place to live. He also gets to shite stomp the Aggies every year with that guaranteed win.

He came in after FSU forced out their NC-winning all-time great coach. They say you don't want to follow the legend. Well that's what he has to gain, he could do it TWICE and buck that trend. Pretty impressive.

I know nothing about salary details, but the rumors going around are all personal reasons:

1)recently divorced and wants to get away and start over

2)special needs child who sees a doctor in Baton Rouge regularly

3)wants to beat sabans arse because saban told both LSU and UAB not to hire him as their head coach.

4)lived here and worked here before. Not new territory

I feel bad for the LSU fans that can not see how dillisional they sound. I just watched this happen to a school in Austin as they predicted coaches would kill to coach there. They ended upn ith about their 6th choice and now look like arse. None of our schools are as special as we perceive them to be. Crazy to get rid of Les.

In the BCS era, FSU has 3 national championships and LSU has 2. Florida State also has the most recent national championship between the two schools.

No. Just no.

This is Florida we're talking about here. Their state is overrun by northerners like me who want to buy a house and retire down there. How many people do you see going down to Florida for vacation? Now how many people do you see going down to Louisiana for vacation? That's what I thought. Florida beaches are far superior.

The Louisiana pond of talent is stocked. Lord Saban once told us he'd build an imaginary recruiting fence around the state and be good to go forever. If Jimbo can develop the recruits, he stands to win on the biggest stage of football.

But to be honest, none of that matters because he's staying at FSU and we're just getting fricked.
