What are the odds we have a #1 vs #2 matchup in the iron bowl next year?

11-0 Alabama vs 11-0 Auburn next year in the iron bowl.

I could certainly see this happening. both teams will be top 5 preseason teams with decent chances to make it to the iron bowl unbeaten. It's late enough in the season that anyone ranked ahead or between them might have already lost

obviously LSU could (and just might) make a fool of me, but just imagining the hype that game would have..

We might drop a game before that, breaking in a new QB and all that noise but it is possible.

Alabama is a 9-3 type team next year but 2015 sets up nicely.

Auburn has one of the toughest schedules in the country next year. No way they are 11-0 win they play Bama. Bama will also probably have an L.

Auburn has a good shot, only real road test will be @ Georgia. Do pull USC as the other team from the east though.

Alabama has to play @ LSU and gets Tennessee and Florida.

I'd bet on Auburn having a better shot honestly. Their offense is pretty young and will be back in force next season.

VERY slim.

Even two very good teams are very likely to lose at least one game out of 11 in the SEC.

5%

And that's not disrespect. It's hard to make it through this league unscathed. Both of you guys are gonna be good though.

While that would be great, it's probably unliklely for both teams.

However could the IB still have National title implications on the line for both teams? Yes, especially with the playoffs coming into effect.

@Kansas St.
LSU
@Miss. St.
South Carolina
@Ole Miss
Texas A&M
@Georgia
@Alabama

is ridiculously tough schedule. They have South Carolina, @Ole Miss, A&M, and @UGA back to back to back to back without a bye. Sorry, Auburn is good but they aren't getting through that stretch without an L.

I just don't see 3 losses in our schedule.

WVU
FAU
Southern Miss
Florida
Ole Miss
Arky
A&M
Tennessee
LSU
MSU
Western Carolina
Auburn

LSU and A&M will be breaking in new quarterbacks as well. I don't know if Florida will play Driskel or Tyler Murphy, but not really worried there either.

The past two times we broke in first year starters at QB we didn't do half bad.

Normally I'd say Alabama is a 10-2 type team but next year the West should be a bit down due to QB's leaving. Minus the QB spot Alabama should be the best team in the country next year. There will be growing pains but I could see Alabama having a very good season. At the same time if the QB spot doesn't work out at all it'll be a rough year.

WVU - W
FAU - W
Southern Miss - W
Florida - W
Ole Miss - W
Arky - W
A&M - W
Tennessee - W
LSU - Tossup
MSU - W
Western Carolina - W
Auburn - Tossup, but I say W

Schedule is favorable next year to say the least, assuming UF doesn't revert back into a powerhouse and all of their talent comes together.

Dude, Greg was bologna in probably half the games he played in. I agree, from what we all know the QB position is nothing to be excited about but if we don't have a GM on the roster next year something is horribly wrong.

Auburn gets to enter next season as the hunted, not the team that went 3-9. Considering they escaped by the skin of their teeth on several occasions this year against subpar competition I doubt they're able to maintain this level of success with a target on their back.

Lol 9-3 team. People seem to forget we return almost every offensive skill player and over half our defense. This team isn't losing more than 1.
