What are the odds that Saban has his people stealing signs

that other teams are calling in? His mentor has been caught doing it and it's not far from him to get that upper hand on other teams. His defense makes dramatic changes throughout the game and seems as his blitzes are called at perfect times. Far-fetched or possible?

I'd reckon to say all schools do it to a degree on gameday. I dont believe he has an infrastructure in place to steal signs though

You're wording this like it's against the rules. If your Mickey Mouse coach can't come up with signals that are too difficult to steal then that's on him.
That said, I imagine most teams have low level staffers tasked with this

Heard he stole Gus' playbook too.

I wouldn't put anything past that little midget He is the best at stretching the line to it's limit.
I hope you are joking right? They have one of if not the biggest football budgets in college football. He has what? 50 volunteers that work just recruiting?

When you're the Goat...you don't need to steal signs.

Any staff that doesn't have the sense to change up their signs/signals deserves to have their shite stolen and used against them in the heat of battle.
Any staff that doesn't have the sense to analyze and look for the tendencies and predictability of their opponent and use them to game plan & take advantage shouldn't be pulling in top salaries because they aren't doing their job.

This. If ya don't like it, go back to the old school method Paul Johnson still uses.

100%
But here's how I imagine it goes down:
In staff meetings Saban demands to know what each and every coach is doing to assure victory. As long as some schmo mentions checking out the other teams signals, then that box is checked.
Saban wouldn't do it personally, but he would make sure every stone was turned which is why he's the best

I mean like he has staff whose specific job is to steal signs. of course he has a lot of coaches, we all do. But they dont have infrastructure dedicated to stealing plays.

I agree. These coaches probably don't spend nearly as much time as we think on it either.
They already know the formation and have a good idea of the play just from watching film and charting tendencies. The cartoon characters on poster board aren't difficult to follow from there

He absolutely stole signals from Ole Miss when he hired Tyler Siskey. Tyler was an offensive control coach but was in the defensive booth with binoculars in 2013. Freeze changed every signal the next 3 year (2 Ole Miss victories and another 43 point score)

they are running an algorithm that takes historical signs, combines them with game film... they then run that through something similar to facial recognition using the current signs and it adapts accordingly in real time providing play details. Trust me, I invented it and am making bazillions of dollar licensing it.
