I think that with a situation such as this, a loss of sales just has to be expected. When conditions just aren't ideal, no one should expect to be profitable. It's just unfortunate.

Not necessarily in this case.

By moving the game to BTR, I think the hit taken by SC will be much less than if played in a neutral site. I just don't see LSU inheriting a home game, especially under these circumstances, and not being extremely generous with profits. Once the announcement is made, and the profit share plan published, LSU fans will buy up as many tix as possible, probably selling out quickly, happy to have the opportunity to "give back".

However,

Having had our first home game cancelled, this (IF) re-located game may present a difficult-to-resist opportunity to recoup a buttload of lost $...it's not like we are among the deep-pocket schools, and that hit did HURT. LSU lost every red cent: no concessions, tix refunds, and still had to pay McNeese $500K, not including auxiliary services. Estimated total cost: $1.2-$3.2 Million.

I still think SC comes out ahead financially having the game in Tiger Stadium. In fact, I'm 99.9% positive.

but you're right....we're the ones that act like we know everything.

I'm not going back through the thread and maybe you weren't one of the ones that said there was no way it was played in Columbia but in the OP you said it was unlikely and even that was frustrating to assume on Monday when the rain was stopping

You people are fricking retarded and should quit asking about where the game is gonna be played.

The worst case scenario is that it is played in an empty Williams-Brice stadium

Well it's a good thing the stadium isn't even on fricking campus

Y'all don't know what the frick y'all are talking about

You people are fricking retarded. I'm glad we don't have to play y'all for another decade because your fan base is unbearable.

My condolences to the rest of the SEC west and UF for having to deal with retards once a year every year

I hope you break you're neck when you fall off your high horse

The game will be played at noon in Williams-Brice. The question is whether the stadium will be empty or not

Yea because you idiots are watching the weather channel and cnn and think you know better than I do the impact and areas of devastation.

You don't. I'm sure those channels are making it seem like all of the greater Cola area is still underwater when in fact there were only small and isolated areas of catastrophic flooding
