LSU staff and local support crews have been put on notice that Saturday will be a game day
If true, this should spread like a wild fire in the next 10 minutes.

Just got to campus and it looks like the "No Parking" on GameDay signs are up and I'm pretty sure it wasn't up yesterday.

I'm thinking the game is moved.

They should be happy about losing a home game. Good point.

I would think a neutral site far away from both teams would not be appetizing due to potential loss of sales.

I think that with a situation such as this, a loss of sales just has to be expected. When conditions just aren't ideal, no one should expect to be profitable. It's just unfortunate.

Yes, LSU inherits home-field advantage- I get that

It's not just that LSU inherits a home game, it is that the game will be moved to a location where virtually NO South Carolina fans will be able to attend. Making the trip to BR takes an immense amount of time and, at this point, a lot of money. The reason our AD is looking so hard for venues in our region is because our fans also paid for tickets to see the game, and I'm sure most of them will not be able to attend a game in Baton Rouge on such short notice. It is not appetizing to send our team to a game where the crowd will be 99.9% Tiger fans, especially when we're already at a disadvantage with how shitty our team is.

Plus, LSU fans who already have tickets to fly into Columbia, Charlotte, Greenville, etc. will still be able to make the game - it will just require a little extra driving. An inconvenience? Sure, but not as much as an inconvenience for SC fans if the game is moved to Baton Rouge.

If it were a game against UGA, Auburn, or Florida, switching venues wouldn't be a big deal, but Baton Rouge is a 10 hour drive from Columbia.

If LSU ends up hosting the game and makes a large donation to the South Carolina, it will be very much appreciated, as that is a class move. However, a lot of SC fans will be upset that they will not be able to see this game in person afterall if it is moved to Baton Rouge.

Just my two cents.

This.

Their reaction (feel free to flip back a few pages) was retarded even by SEC Rant standards.

Yes I agree Bluefin, and I don't blame you.
We felt the same way when we had to play a 'home' game at Arizona State in early Sept 2005. 2005. The Saints also had to play a 'home' game at the Meadowlands vs Giants.
I wish they would still try to play at WB or Charlotte or somewhere....

It wasn't the suggestion that the game be moved. It was the attitude that the decision had already been made and that it was impossible for the game to take place in Columbia

But think what you want. I was hoping that if the game was moved it at least be in Charlotte so I could attend. Oh well.

Who can blame them? I was upset when our game got moved to Arizona State and when the first game of the season this year got cancelled. But what can you do?

Sometimes shite happens.
