Just cancel it. Problem solved.

Game have been moved back.

Not sure how they would do it. I doubt the BYE weeks are lined up, and they couldn't risk scheduling it after the last regular season game since LSU has a legit shot at making it to the SECCG.

Exactly. I'm not saying it can't happen, but it just really seems like LSU fans WANT this to happen.

you're confusing "want" with "prepared"

We have one game moved to a different venue, one game moved to a different day, and one game moved up 9 hours in the last 10 years. We know the drill.

And how exactly are you preparing? What are we going to tell you? You just have to sit there and wait for a LINK.

We don't want it to happen, but having been through it we realize it's a possible scenario. People are going to talk about, but trust me when I say noone wants this to happen. That's silly.

Or maybe LSU fans want to know the status of the venue location. Since people have travelling plans and stuff.

WOAHHHHH. You're a dumbass

i just asked a fricking question. Jesus Christ...why are you getting so defensive over the possibility of a game getting moved?

Well I'm sorry your traveling plans might get ruined? Again, what is the rant going to tell you? Spurrier thinks the game will be played just fine. That's literally the only discussion that's been had about the game. There's kind of more important shite going on right now.

You literally said "doesn't look like it can be played in Columbia"

All I did was ask for a link and got pounced on

Williams-Brice stadium.

Not sure why LSU fans are convinced the game is not going to take place there

It's just funny that the only place I see any talk of relocation is on here.

because LSU fans have seen it happen in a similar natural disaster situation. LSU had a game moved across the country and then a game moved to a Monday night. in a matter of two weeks in 2005.

You couldn't care less about the fate of these good neighbors of ours. It's all about the "travel plans" and where you gone eat and sleep. You just care about where LF will run for his 280.

I think LSU fans are worried about another game being canceled without exploring other options first

Yeah it's not like the situations aren't different or anything. Baton Rouge was housing refugees IIRC, for a much worse natural disaster. The game was swapped venues because it wasn't a conference game.

I don't see any way this thing gets played in Columbia. Best bet is to move it to BR.

Yep. Totally the best call. Better call Tanner and Pastides.

You literally had one poster say:

quote:

what are some possible locations for the LSU/USC game?

...doesn't look like it's going to be able to be played at USC.

That doesn't look to me like LSU fans are convinced of anything.

Does it really matter where the game is played? I don't think LSU has ever lost in Williams-Brice.

This is a message board on college football, which is the context of the post. Obviously no one is being dismissive of the real world effects of this issue since it hits close to home for a lot of LSU people. Six people have died, search and rescue efforts are ongoing, and the campus has been evacuated. Whether or not the university and area have the resources to host a major event with 100k people less than a week from now is a legitimate question.
