Serious question. It's popular to laugh at LSU right now, but how do y'all think you will do? Do you have faith in Orgeron to contend for the west?

Pretty much every LSU fan is more confident he'll let his coordinators handle their side of the ball.
10-2 maybe, but schedule is stupid

No worse than third in west behind bama and the barn.

If our quarterback play, like every year, is worth any shits we could actually win the west. Idk why that's so hard to believe. Auburn at home, bama is bama, rest of west blows. Tennessee and Florida will be tough on the road and may be the reason we end up in middle of the road status.

Bama is obviously a possibility but Auburn right after UF will probably be our second toughest game.

Those two are the only where my confidence dwindles.

If we go 10-2, we lose to bama, and either Tennessee or Florida.

Honest answer

It's an unknown

People always say we have all the talent as any school in the conference. However, imo, our dl and ol have not been that great. We recruit skill positions, except qb, like no other, but our lines have been average.

The one thing orgeron and staff showed, except bama and to some degree fla (lots of yards and self inflicted turnovers and blunders) is that we finally will crush teams we should crush.

What's all this mean for 2017? I think we are a big unknown that could be 11-1 or 8-4 again.

I like our staff now. Looking forward to a new offense for the 1st time in years. But we did lose a lot on d.

9-3 or 10-2 mainly because the schedule really isn't that difficult.

We will be really good. I'm guessing at least 10-2, probably 11-1 though. You asked my opinion so don't get all upset with what I really expect from this team. We will be very good.

No, a guarantee is a win over ATM, again.

But you know that, which is why you chose to dickride Bama.

10-2 losses to bama and auburn. UF is a toss up as well but I like LSU's chances

This is the first time I've looked at y'alls schedule close and it seems pretty favorable overall.

10-2 seems like a good guess.
11-1 is definitely realistic.
Absolutely worst case is probably 8-4, which is a very good "worst case"

Do you think this is the last year for Aranda as D.C.?

I expect someone to offer him the big chair in Dec/Jan.

Wow, it's nice to see you really have high expectations for this year's team. 8-4? That's what you're expecting out of this team? Good Lord, thank God you don't coach. That's pretty sad with all of the talent we have on our roster.

Yeah, looking at your schedule, I could see 11-1 as the ceiling, but also like a 7-5 floor. I just have no idea how an orgeron coached team operates. I was young during his ole miss days.

Edit: I'll split the difference and say 9-3

It definitely could be unfortunately. He's clearly got the "it" factor as a DC, only question is whether he leaves for a HC job or a DC spot in the NFL.

This is the SEC. Everybody has a lot of talent, and the top half is going to have just as much or close to what LSU has overall.

It wouldn't be the first time a very talented team went 8-4.

Everybody knows about your talent, it's your HC that people aren't sold on.
