What all SEC cities currently have UBER?

Just curious b/c for some reason lawmakers continue to keep it out of Mississippi.


HAS UBER

Fayetteville - Arkansas
Nashville- Vandy
Baton Rouge- LSU
Columbia- South Carolina
College Station- Texas A&M
Lexington- Kentucky
Knoxville- Tennessee
Athens- Georgia
Columbia- Missouri
Gainesville- Floria

DOESN'T HAVE UBER

Starkville- Mississippi State
Oxford- Ole Miss
Auburn- Auburn
Tuscaloosa- Alabama

Fayetteville has had it for a long time. Edit: since August 2014.

I think the whole state of Arkansas has it.

Any people with Law backgrounds know why local city governments in Mississippi wouldn't approve of UBER? Especially in college cities where there is heavy drinking.

Well in the major cities it is to protect the Taxi companies. Unions are trying to protect their business by keeping Uber out, but I'm not really sure what the reason would be in Mississippi.
