I know some of you still haven't, (after talking to some of my younger family member they have no concept of reality, and think Bama will be on top for the rest of their life

It got me to thinking when i was younger I figured Alabama had a chance for the NC every year and though the players got overlooked in award season 95-02 range

It was probably around 15 or so for me

LSU and aggy fans here seem to struggle to realize their place in football from reading their posts.

Same can be said for Mizzou fans in basketball.

Again LSU fans carry the flame in baseball.

I should of said you have to say what you realized, but this thread would get out of hand quick but for me

With Bama football is easy to come to grips with being a top 5 program ( I feel thats safe to say)

Bama basketball... well maybe a top 30-40 team all time, might make real run every 10- 15 years

Braves thought they were the NL version of the Yanks found out that they are just an middle of the pack NL team with a awesome 10 Year run

Case in point.

This poor feller still hasn't come to grips with reality, I'm guess the chicken bowl this year, Cotton bowl in 2010, Capitol one bowl in '09, chicken bowl in '08 wasn't a sobering enough experience for the poor guy as all these bowls were for titles, Chicken, credit card, and cotton titles.

First year with season tickets at age 9. The stumble and fumble in Knoxville caused me to shed tears that night and actually had dreams the hogs won.

That's not the point. I've been drinking all day by the pool and heading to the Italian place tonight. Got the secks last night and will be TTC later tonight.

aka- honeymoon, wife is in the shower and I'm on TD.

I grew up during the curley and dinardo years and I remember getting so excited if we broke the top 25 now I get mad if we fall out of the top 10

No kidding. I think he might be doing it wrong.

For basketball I have to say early teens. I obviously knew we were a big deal growing up in a Kentucky family. But I also grew up with UK on probation and Louisville winning NCs so I don't think I realized it until later on. Seeing one of the best runs in college basketball from 96-98 cemented it for me.

As far as football, probably about the same time. Thanks Mumme.

You are a girl, so you haven't been pushed to the back, wet, freezing you arse off, and having to pretend like it is a wonderful experience and everything is "OK".

He's doing it right.

I'm pretty sure you're both doing it wrong then.
