One thing that I have come to know first hand about the SEC since Mizzou has joined is that football is a religion in this conference along with banging your cousin! I love the football passion, but I rather bang somebody elses cousin.

Why not just add this to the other thread?

Good. The state of West Virginia has less people than it did in 1940. The Kansas City and St. Louis metro areas have more people than the entire state of West Virginia, by a wide margin.

So we missed out on rioting white trash and got Mizzou instead? Yeah, I'm OK with that trade off.

This is funny because Mizzou never would have passed.

Mizzou would have been fools not to get away from Texas and their butt boys Oklahoma who have destroyed the B12.

"may have"?????

Title should more accurately read -

"West Virginia would have wet themselves if Mizzou had turned down the SEC"

I doubt very much that Commissioner Slive would have wanted WVU, given the need to capture TV markets. I think he would have gone after one of the schools in Virginia or North Carolina. The ACC hadn't yet nailed the doors shut and the SEC was very appealing to most of that conference's schools.

While Missouri wasnt the greatest fit for #14, they were light years better than WVU. VT would have been ideal but that wasn't able to happen.

BTW, banging ones cousin totally depends on the hotness factor. And if it is a second cousin or more distant then it is totally allowable.

You've obviously seen my cousin, both you and I would like to bang her I assure you.

Anyway the question now is how hard will the TEN come after Mizzou when they expand, clearly they will make another play for us offering more than "junior membership".

When they pickup Bevo and possibly an OU and/or kU they will naturally want Mizzou which fits their footprint and gives them a prize state. Plus we have actual academics which 3/4 of the SEC doesn't offer.

At that point the TEN will be begging for us, the question is will our Office even listen?

Started new thread on this...but I think the 9 game schedule for 2016 hints at a realignment for the B1G.

I disagree. The B1G probably looks at KU and feels that adding KU brings KC, the same way that UI brings part of STL. Missouri probably doesn't move the needle for the B1G any more now than they did.

I think Missouri is in the SEC for the long haul.
