Kid from Greenbriar is legit.
God knows how horrible our pitching was this year.
Thanks Wes!

Did he not have an offer from us previously? It seems odd that a top instate pitcher wouldn't want to play for Jorn.

"Mississippi State had a bunch of changes to its pitching staff and I really like Coach Johnson and now he is at Arkansas," Milligan said. "I decided I needed to look around while I was still committed to Mississippi State, but then I decided Arkansas was the best place for me because I truly have really wanted to be a Razorback all along."

damn just realized this kid is from my hometown
not sure they've ever sent a player of any sport to play for the razorbacks

Makes sense.. It's not like Arkansas is a bad baseball school. This was probably expected by our staff.

Is this a testament to the lack of talent there or a lack of allegiance to tFlagship?

combination of lack of talent, lack of exposure, and the ones with talent not smart enough to go to the next level and or getting tied down with a kid

seems to be getting better though
greenbrier is relatively new to being a bigger school

first football athlete from there in awhile to get seriously considered by the razorbacks was Neal Burcham, who's now at SMU.

I've heard from a few people who knew Johnson when he was doing the high school gig in central Arkansas that he was a great guy and an excellent corch.
