Gotta think our schedule would be favorable to win the conference if we can pull 2/3 from State this weekend. Still have Alabama and Ole Miss left on the schedule.
That series @LSU concerns me tho

Should we not be 3rd? Auburns conference record is the same as ours and they own the tie breaker.

Lsu is so bipolar. State is bound to get tired sooner than later. Bama sucks and ole miss can't hit.
Likely go 7-5 or 6-6.

Hawgeye is doing it alphabetically when teams have identical records. But yes when it comes to seeding we would be ahead of you.

Just go alphabetical on all positions with ties. However it falls within the next few weeks, ties currently will work themselves out one way or another. For now, there are so many ties in the overall standings alphabetical felt like the right way to go instead of trying to research who each team had beaten and some have not even played each other.

Just a feeling that all their injuries will soon catch up to them. Arkansas' certainly did this weekend as it ran into a shortage of pitching when the Friday and Saturday starters ran into rough outings.

A feeling mixed with a touch of logic and about 90% posi.

Going 2-2 this week vs UT and UTA really hurt.

RPI has dropped 9 spots since April 16th
Still some series to make up some not so great weeks though. Tough sledding ahead though for Aggies. @Missouri, State, @Ole Miss, and Arkansas.
If the Aggies can get through that 6-6 should be okay for a 2 seed in a favorable regional.

The impressive thing about this team so far is no glaring strengths or weaknesses, top half of the conference in every catagory you listed except errors, just good fundamental baseball.
You can win a lot of games that way and an off night in one area does not kill you.

There are usually enough hosts around us that we'd be placed geographically, not somewhere favorable even if the resume warranted it.
If A&M can sweep @Mizzou (tall order for A&M) then I think we'd be right back to the low 30s/high 20s and back within range to fight for a host spot. Obviously, there would be a lot of work left to do, it is just hard to tell what your RPI will do.

I have no idea how we are leading the conference. With the players lost from last year plus the injuries, most fans weren't expecting much. We are playing kind of ragged like we thought we would, but the wins keep piling up.

If State wins the series with Auburn, then they likely end up with a 2 game lead on Auburn and Kentucky with the tiebreakers over both. Arkansas holds the tiebreaker over State, and would win a three way tiebreaker with State and Auburn.
Auburn has a huge advantage by having Bama left on their schedule. State has Georgia, but its on the road. Texas A&M on the road is concerning for MSU as well.
I think this thing is going to come down to the last day.

Ole Miss is still a team I would not wanna face down the stretch. They put any kind of offensive threat together they are tough. Sleeper team in the conference right now.
