I am very happy with Coach Pearl. You don't resurrect a dead program overnight. We will get there. Will we be embarrassed quite a few times on the way to respectability? Sure. Does it bother me? Not at all. I feel we have an amazing coach and he will get Auburn to a respectable level.

This incoming class will be his third class to recruit. The first was full of transfers and JUCO players. The second was a really good class, hence why we have 5 freshmen they are leading basically every category. Should add some nice depth with the third coming in. Future classes are looking very good as well.
With all that said, we knew Bruce could recruit. Offensively we are improving but defensively we have regressed and a lot of it appears to be effort which as concerning.
To answer your question though, we would be idiotic to even consider getting rid of Bruce.

I didn't like pearl at UT and I don't like him at AU.

This is first year we have had team not composed mainly of transfers and instead with his recruits. Despite how bad we have been recently still on pace to have best team since 2008-2009 season with plenty of reasons to hope for future
We expected a better record for sure and Pearl has some tough questions to answer but we have come a long way in 3 years. If it's the same next year then I think I would start having real concerns. I'm disappointed in the finish but I still think we are on right track

I am definitely concerned with the defense. We have lost multiple games where we score in the 90s and have blown 15+ point leads all season. Some of that is freshman but most of that falls on the coach. Its not hard to teach defensive rotation, yet we have no clue.
Offensively we are doing exactly what he did at UT which was scoring a lot of points on the secondary break. We basically run a high pick and roll and a spread out flex. Nothing fancy, just a couple of sets with no real motion offense but with good athletes it is very tough to stop. I am very encouraged with how well our two true freshman big men have played considering Pearl said he has never had a true big.
All in all I am still happy with Bruce. he has brought in...
