For Arkansas...

I thought the defense looked good. Very encouraging. 79 rushing yards and less than 300 total yards to a HUNH zone read team.

Offense looked good in spurts but need to work on picking up blitzes better. Should have ran the ball more but I am sure the staff will correct this moving forward. Need to move AA out of the pocket on play action instead of having him sitting in the pocket after the fake.

Lets see if that week 1 to week 2 improvement happens, as it should. Last year we lost this game to Toledo, this year we won it by one. Ill take it. We usually get better as the season progresses.

Offensive line must improve as a unit

Dexter Lawrence as good as advertised, the starting front four looked outstanding.

Thank God for Mike Williams, who pretty much *was* the offense last night.

Special teams woes are back, that'll catch up to you (trust me).

Linebackers must get better in space, secondary played well in the first half, but weren't sharp in the second. Offensive woes played a role in that for sure.

I think Tennessee is much better than we showed against App State. My only real concern is the offensive line specifically the interior. We have got to get that shite straightened out.

For Arkansas:

Our Offensive line needs a lot of work, especially in pass protection. Froholdt is very very very green. Austin Allen will be fine once he stops believing so much in his arm. Still haven't seen Whaley, but Rawleigh Williams is a very good back. Our defense needs work, but they stepped up when they had to. We played a bad game, but we have a lot of film to improve and our opponent for next week didn't exactly light the world on fire.

Knight is serviceable. He back peddles too much though.

Running game. We have one!

Defense was improved again and we did a good job on rushing defense. Still got gashed but far less.

We were the beneficiaries of several UCLA dropped passes.

Overal pleased but there is a lot of work to do.

Finally looks like we have a defense again. Should give us a 50/50 chance to go bowling this season.

We played a pretty spotty game on the offensive side of the ball and beat our top 20 opponent 52-6. So you might say I'm bullish about our chances this year.

Rush defense - improved
QB play - inconsistent
Offensive scheme/formations - improved
OL play - surprisingly decent
LB play - night and day difference
DL play - good to great
CB play - decent to good. Nick Harvey is that dude.
Safety play - Great.
Punting - no drop off from last year.
Kicking - remains a ?
Return game - weak

Overall impressed, especially with defense. Trevor Knight can win us 8-9 I think, but will lose us at least 2.

If your O-Line really is as bad as we saw, I'd make sure your back QB and his backup are ready to play at the a&m game. They are going to be running for their lives.

Encouraged by some of what I saw (run blocking, improvement on run D), discouraged by others (play calling at the end of the game, limitations from our QB, pass protection). Glad we were able to pull it out and Rosen is legit but I'm not sure we are better than an 8-4 team still

We can't possibly be as good as we looked for most of the game last night. So pretty excited about the win and what this team might be, and after getting a little more game experience next week, we'll see where we stand in Oxford.

I think we can put the "Bama will lose 4 games this year" to rest.
