9/3 South Carolina v. North Carolina (Charlotte)
9/5 Alabama v. Wisconsin (Dallas)
9/5 Auburn v. Louisville (Atlanta)
9/5 Texas A&M v. Arizona State (Houston)

* 9/5 Mississippi State @ Southern Miss-----Why?

Rest of SEC plays cupcakes to start the season.

Seems like neutral site games are becoming more common these days. Maybe it's just me, but I'm a huge fan of home and home games vs. two good opponents, but I guess the powers that be know more than me.

Can't wait!

I'm not giving Mississippi State a hard time, but they start the first game of their season on the road against Southern Miss?

When we scheduled Southern Miss.. They were a 10-2 team..

They suck now so we can't help it.

What do you expect..?

I'm afraid with the playoff you will see far less marquis home and home series. It's the biggest downfall IMO.

On the composite SEC schedule, UAB was still scheduled to play @ Tennessee for Week 1. Sure that will be changed soon. Not sure about Miss State in that regard.

I agree, so it's not just you. The lack of home and home games is all 'bout the money. In a neutral game, I think the money is split between the 2 teams and I also think there's some SWAG for the players/coaches. The lack of an extra home game, even when it's against Pottawattamie State, means a loss of revenue as fans will come even to games like that. Only way it'll change is if fans stop attending those games...and I don't see that happening...

I miss the old days as far as scheduling goes. I remember one year, back in the 80's I believe, where we played Ohio State, Notre Dame, and Penn State in the same year...and under the Bear in the 70's we played Nebraska, Missouri, USC, Washington, and Virginia Tech in the same year...alas those days are long gone...

All that matters is wins and conference championships. Didn't matter that Florida State was weak sauce. They won. Why play tough teams when you can schedule easy wins?

They replaced UAB with Bowling Green.
