1. Trent Richardson
2. Michael Dyer
3. Marcus Lattimore
4. Zac Stacy (tied)
4. Isaiah Crowell (tied)

Receiving Votes: Dennis Johnson and Eddie Lacy.

Note: Marcus Lattimore, even after missing almost half of the season, still has a better season going than most. I thought he would have dropped out by now, but no one is really challenging to move him down the list. Pretty impressive by ML and a little disappointing from some of the SEC RBs that I thought would have much better seasons.

It's pretty cool how LSU has horrible talent on all sides of the ball, but still manages to win against everybody. Les Miles is a god.

As a SO, before he went out this season, he was only 5 or 6 TDs away from breaking our all time rushing TDs list. Held by Harold Green and Heisman Trophy winner George Rogers (31 each). He was in position to pass that this season, will certainly do it next season (barring injury of course) and if he stays for his SR year that record will be too far out of reach for any future Gamecock RB to pass.

Nah, LSU is second in rushing offense in the SEC. They just do it a little differently.

How about you name me one LSU RB whose performance this year puts them ahead of someone on that list?

I'll wait.

as an LSU fan i'm fully aware of this.

just pointing out how any time one of these lists are posted and LSU players aren't littered on it, you will assuredly see multiple rantards bombarding the thread as this one already has.

If you are just turning and handing the ball off to them, there isn't a whole lot of difference. However, TR does so much more than Dyer as a receiver out of the backfield, that it isn't even really close.

I get that MD is running behind a much inferior o-line, but TR is still better.

Exactly. LSU just doesn't have any one back having a great year. I think Ford would be on the list if he were getting more carries. I think Ware, while a damn violent and hard runner, is content to go down after 4 yards.

He hits the hole hard and is almost always the one delivering the blow, but he just doesn't produce beyond the tough inside running game.
