No teams will be eliminated tomorrow. He was trying to brag. Instead of saying final 6, he probably should have gone with winner's bracket. It would have made more sense.
Final 6 isn't accurate because tomorrow, the winner's play. Saturday, the losers from today and tomorrow play.

And what I'm saying is "final 6" is one of the more random brags I've heard. In the grand scheme of things, you could be final 6 and playing a day one loser in an elimination game Saturday night.
Beat Florida. Then "final four" will be more accurate and acceptable given the position LSU will be in.

No. It's like hanging a banner when finishing in a tie. Auburn didn't lose today and go "damn, we're not in the final 6." They lost and went "damn, we're headed to the losers bracket."
Just like LSU didn't win today and go "Yes!! Final 6!" They won and celebrated because they're in the winner's bracket.
I don't see what's so difficult about this.
