We do NOT deserve to be in the top 25. This is like what many Vol fans bitch about with Alabama football or Kentucky basketball. If a team with our resume this year had any name other than Tennessee or Connecticut, they would be solidly outside the top 25.

I am on the fence on this one. Yes 8 losses is a lot but when you play one of the toughest schedules in the USA the voters may cut you some slack. Here are the 8 Vol losses along with opponent information.

Date Opponent Result

11/29/15 vs #6 Texas L, 64-53
12/06/15 vs Virginia Tech L, 57-43 | Final period the Hokies got hot from 3pt land
12/16/15 @ #15 Stanford L, 69-55
01/07/16 vs #22 Florida L, 74-66
01/14/16 @ Arkansas L, 64-59 | Jessica Jackson was on fire that game
01/18/16 @ #3 Notre Dame L, 79-66
01/25/16 @ #18 Kentucky L, 64-63 | 1 point road loss
01/28/16 @ #11 Mississippi State L, 65-63 | 2 point road in OT

The only "bad" loss is to Virginia Tech but they were 7-1 early and won with 21 pts in the 4th
The Hog loss was a ice cold 3rd period against a tough Arkansas team what Jackson got red hot

I would feel fairly safe putting the Vols somewhere between #20 and #30 in the country and could easily be 17-4 instead of 13-8. Conversely, most any other team in america playing the Vols schedule could be 8-13 right now. Vol fans are like Alabama football fans and Kentucky basketball fans in that failing to win 90% of your games is a failure. Holly may need to go but if the Vols started scheduling weaker they could easily be 17-4 to 19-2.

I tend to agree. I have been following WBB for ages and am trying to think of the nearest decent WBB DI team.

Looks like they just opened a 12,000 seat arena and they host the Summit League conference tournament.

Yeah I don't feel too good. UCONN is on a whole other level. But we are at home and we've faced plenty of challenges this season. This will be by far our biggest challenge yet. We got embarrassed last year. Hope to at least make it a game.

The game is at home, so I like our chances much better than a neutral site or at their court.
