That should be worth watching.
I do hope the refs are less, homey, this time around when we go down there.
Last time we played down there Dawn Staley almost pulled off a spiked heel and jabbed it in the neck of one of the refs.

How is Florida unranked but Tennessee is? I suppose that'll change with the updated rankings?

Just noticed that...and read CNB's post under yours.
Yeah..wtf? Y'all should have been ranked going into the UK game. That's bullshite that they didn't have y'all in there...and above the Lady Vols at that.

I'm starting to get the feeling that UT has remained ranked out of courtesy ... that the voters must feel as if Tennessee will soon catch fire and start their ascent.
I'm beginning to wonder about this UT team, this year. Something is just not right about that team. I cannot put a finger on it. Is it coaching, lack of effort, lack of enthusiasm? That team is loaded with talent. Maybe one of the most talented teams at Tennessee in years. Yet they are not playing like it.
I think they have chemistry problems. Too many stars.

That is a distinct possibility. They seemed really out of it when they lost to Arkansas a little while back.
Now, while this is an up and down Arkansas squad that can knock some teams off, we simply don't have the level of talent that the Lady Vols have.
This may be the case of a career assistant becoming head coach and being put into a job she's just not up to. Holly Warlick was an amazing assistant... she hasn't been an amazing head coach.

Florida was ranked in previous weeks, lost, then dropped out. Will probably be ranked again.
As for Tennessee being ranked it is probably a combination of several things.
#1 Large fan base
#2 History of winning
#3 Schedule
While the first two are fairly obvious, the 3rd is often overlooked in an age of scheduling to win. As Pat was supposed to be the Kentucky women's coach before her success building the Vols she seems to have followed legendary coach Adolph Rupp in her scheduling philosophy.
Basically, to be the best you must schedule the best and be prepared to play anytime and anywhere to excel at the highest level of the sport.
Pre conference they played Penn State, Syracuse, Texas, Virginia Tech, Stanford, Oregon State, and Notre Dame among the majors. BOLD teams were ranked at the time. Penn State has advanced far in the NCAA's during the time the game was probably scheduled. Virginia Tech is ACC which is a good SoS conference opponent.
As for the mid majors, UCA is just out of the ranking, UT Chattanooga is usually good and Albany is currently ranked #15. ETSU is in state and TN has several top secondary WBB schools in the state. Stetson is sitting just outside the mid major Top 25 and Wichita State game was on the road in Kansas.
While the Lady Vols have losses, look at the losses
Texas is (20-1, 9-1) and currently #6 in the polls
Virginia Tech was 7-1 going into the UT game
@ Stanford was 7-2 going into the UT game and currently Top 20 type team
@ Notre Dame (20-1, 8-0) and currently #3 in the polls
Florida, a team that has been in the polls and should be back in the Top 25 this week
@ Arkansas, at team that has played well above what their record indicates
@ Kentucky (a Top 10 team most of the season)
@ Mississippi State (a Top 15 team most of the season)
