Yeah losing a 17 point lead in the biggest OOC home game in years isn't embarrassing at all.

This is truth bit when Maggitt went down it was game over. He was our only leader on D at the time and the team didn't know what to do without him.

I watched the game with a die hard VOL. I was genuinely concerned for his safety after the game. So many squandered opportunities. So many unanswered questions. I really felt bad for the guy

That was 2 SEC Champioships, 2 playoff appearances, and 1 NChampioship ago for Bama. This was last year for Tenner. This is basically the same team that y'all think will win the SEC.

And as usual, only 1 UTk fan could actually talk about UTk football or this game. Why did SECN do this game? It's embarrassing.

It was ESPN's prime time game you dumb frick

And no one besides Phil and Serraneaux thought UT was winning the SEC last year either.

That game is one I look at and say if Tenn had a little more depth they can be elite.

They play hard for Jones or did last year. The amount of times they ran out of gas or luck in the fourth quarter in 2015 raised alcohol sales in Knoxville by 200%.

Oklahoma made adjustments at halftime on both sides of the ball and TN just had no answer.

Tennessee's defense was really impacted by losing Magitt in that game. Couple that with Jancek's horrible game management...

Not giving Butch a free pass here whatsoever (he has to improve a LOT with in game coaching) but Jesus H Christmas, Jancek was fricking terrible in just about every late game scenario. No pressure whatsoever. Rush 3 and soft DB coverage the entire 4th and OT in this game. Then he lost us the game with his QB spy bullshite late in the game vs UF, and then did the exact same thing vs UGA two weeks later. I guarantee they would've scored too if they had about 30 more seconds. Against South Carolina, same thing AGAIN. Once again it almost cost us the game, but a timely forced fumble saved the day for us. I'm glad Butch recognized this disturbing pattern with Jancek and let go of him this offseason. Ultimately I think the 4th and 14 was the play that got him fired.

One of many, but it was the climax of failure in the fourth. Interesting Lyle is not held accountable in your post at all even though you say

Not giving Butch a free pass here whatsoever... but

And then you proceed to blame it all on jancek.

And I don't care if it was ESPNs prime time game, why would the SECN show it during takeover week. It's embarrassing for UTk.

-Not going for 2
-the inexplicable timeout before UF lined up for a field goal
-the conservative overall 4th quarter game plan

were all Butch's fault in the UF game.

Fair points. I don't like it, but it made the list of Top 25 games in 2015, so it will be played whether we like it or not.

The game highlights the common theme of Tennessee blowing 4th quarter leads, but UT seemed to correct it a little in-season against UGA and SCAR. Hopefully that experience, and Shoop replacing Jancek, will help UT to win those close ones this year.

It's pretty bad when you get out coached by Bob Stoops. Butch was a fricking idiot in both the Oklahoma and Florida games.

You act like it is pathetic when getting out coached by Bob Stoops. Sure is bowl record isn't all that spectacular, but he's definitely not anywhere pathetic. You have good days and bad days.

The most embarrassing part was kicking a field goal from the one-yard line after running Kamara straight up the middle with a 240 lb back watching.

This was the moment I knew we would blow it.

Edit: Not to mention it was the first successful offensive drive in a BIG time atmosphere that hadn't been in Neyland in years. Just so disappointing.
