Auburn won a BCSNC with him, but not because of him. In fact, they won in spite of him. Auburn was terrible in all phases during 2009 and 2011, but had a dominant rush defense in 2010.

2009-2011, he was awful. Except against Oregon.

ted roof was/is a much better d-coord than he will ever get credit for being.....some of the best halftime adjustments that you could ask for....teams rarely scored after half....i liked him

He was a guru at halftime adjustments but his ingenuity was inflated due to the absolute ineptitude of defensive schemes in the first half.

Ted has always been a bend but don't break guy. He made great adjustments and called a perfect game for Oregon in the BCS Championship game. I will always love him for that

Yes, was a frustrating time. He did some good but overall his defenses were inconsistent, and was called 3rd and Roof before Chavis was ever called that.

Also, the TN QB looks like shite and the OL can't even defend a 3 man rush.

There's this wonderful thing called Google. It came out in 1998, but I think it'll catch on soon

2011 was probably our worst defense since the Barfield days in the 1970s. He was awful and we're just now recovering.
