There should have been 3 seconds on the clock in the 2009 game of LSU and Ole Miss. but the clock operator let it run to 1 second left. you can spike the ball with 3 seconds but not 1

I think the clock stops when the ball hits the ground. Remember the OU game where there was a controversy about the time running off the clock.
