Fun fact: they were also the only SEC school to lose half their pitching staff to injuries. The guy that started yesterday was a not very good 1st baseman that started pitching for us.

Don't laugh. We would be saying the same thing if LSU was in that situation.

Yeah 7-8 Tommy John's alone to the pitching staff, in one season, is kind of amazing to even have the season we did.

Good position to make it out of Tallahassee anyway, knock on wood.

On paper whoever we would get out of Lubbock for the Super is probably best case scenario. But I'm just not confident we are consistent enough to be able to win against Tex Tech, Sam Houston, or Arizona.

Hell, I won't even feel good about making it out of Tallahassee until we hopefully Tennessee Tech tonight.

Yeah, there's the ole "We only lost because of injuries" excuse and then there is the "How the hell have we made it this far" injury excuse.

12 to the draft
9 to injuries
2 dumbasses that got themselves kicked off a team.

That's replacing 23 on a roster size of 35.

It would be equal to losing 35 to injuries on a football team after losing 25 to graduation/early draft.

Bearcats will take out Texas Tech today. Tech could still win the regional, but they will have to win 3 in a row. Sam Houston is no joke. Toughest 3 seed besides A&M and Auburn.

Sam Houston swept Houston and split with Baylor this season. And the Southland is not a bad conference. They actually are one of the few conferences that had a winning record against non-conference.

Texas Tech has a nice resume as well.

3-1 vs Baylor. Swept Texas. Won their series vs TCU including a 21-3 win. They also beat LSU and Ole Miss and split vs Miss State. They are #5 for a reason

Maybe I'm reading this wrong, but don't they only have to win 2 more games? They beat Delaware yesterday, they aren't in danger of elimination yet.

I was going off the premise that Sam Houston gets them today. SHSU is a trendy pick and one of these years they are going to get out of a regional. Same deal with South Alabama. Good teams that can't get over the hump.

Mississippi State has done a great job this year with what they have had to work with as far as pitchers. I don't think their should be any dissapointment toward this team since half the pitching staff is out.
