Most of Bamas championships are bull shite. Just look at their last one. Clemson was weak sauce.

Ole Miss is about to return to a reality.

For the 1941 SEC champions, the season would not end until the following week, when they traveled to the West Coast and defeated the University of San Francisco 26-13 at Kezar Stadium to complete an 8-1-1 campaign. The next day, the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor and America was at war. Many players from the 1938-1942 Mississippi State teams fought in World War II. One player, Harvey “Boots” Johnson, a star on the 1940 team, was killed in a bombing raid over Japan. Buddy Elrod, State’s first All-American, was imprisoned in a German Stalag prison camp. Football was played in 1942, but Mississippi State did not field a team in 1943 due to the war.
Actually that is partially true. We did play a game in San Francisco on Dec 6th and we got stuck there when air and train travel was suspended on Dec 7th. While the team waited to get back to Starkville several just enlisted there in San Francisco. By the time State made it back to Starkville Alabama had accepted the offer to play in our place. I doubt we had enough players to field a team at that point anyway. As I remember it explained on BSR.

Really? We're delusional? Half your fan base still thinks you've done no wrong in recruiting even after the NOI.
So delusional you had to change the subject apparently.

Well, in 1940 nobody beat Miss State in the conference. We went 10-0-1, a tie vs Auburn on the road. Shut out a 9-2 Ole Miss team, shut out Alabama etc and we don't get brownie points for that either.

It's the Mississippi State way.

Yeah, seems kinda strange anyone worries about 1941 when we didn't lose a game the year before.

The tie cost y'all a Rose Bowl invite though (Tennessee got it instead) and led to the extra regular season game on the west coast in 1941.

But Tennessee lost 2 games that year including one to Alabama. Miss State didn't lose a game. Media bias? Who knows.

The amazing thing is that people hate Alabama so much that we are arguing over the validity of a national title claim for 1941.
1941.
1941.

Tennessee won every game and the SEC in 1940 so they got the Rose Bowl invite.

I was talking 1941, the year later. Pay attention. Miss State did not lose a game that year while Tennessee lost two. Hello.
