As a shortstop.

Apparently worked out for the coaches this week and is joining the team.

Was offered by Stanford and Duke in baseball out of HS. Will not miss spring practice.

Serrano needs all the help he can get. I hope Dobbs can bunt.

Kind of surprised how bad he has done at Tennessee. This might be his last season if he cant get them in the tournament.

Good idea. Let the QB put his throwing hand inches away from a 90mph fastball to lay down a bunt

I understand letting guys play other sports (mostly track and baseball), but I am a little shocked that your starting QB is doing this, especially this late in his career.

Guy hasn't played baseball in what, 3 years?

He has been awful and it has surprised me too. I like station-to-station baseball but his small ball and running out of innings is ridiculous. The roster is shite this year, he will probably be fired. The only thing saving him is the apathy concerning UT baseball in Knoxville.

I thought he hired a new hitting coach who is not a small ball guy.

I would assume that Butch is not happy about this development. Or will he take leave from the baseball team to participate in spring practice?

Yea, the Serrano era has shocked me. I thought he'd sign great players and Tennessee would be a regular Top 25 team. It is baffling that they are this bad.

Bring back Delmonico!

Smart for Dobbs, he realizes he doesn't have an NFL future. Might as well see if he can get on the radar for some MLB teams while he can.

I hadnt heard that. My hypocritical self accuses Knox of apathy, but I don't really keep up with it either. I really hope he gets it turned around, but that is unlikely in this league.

My cousin met him backstage at Kenny chesney this summer at the dome. My cousin who knows the stage manager is a huge Tennessee fan and grew up idolizing Condredge. Went up to him and asked for a pic and he tried to make him pay 50$. Said he was a huge dick.

I do not follow it that closely, but I do follow the draft pretty closely and it seems like every year they have multiple top 50 picks.

He is signing kids that have no chance of coming to college and then has no backup plan.

You're wasting your time with guys like Ke'Bryan Hayes, Chris Betts, etc.

kind of where i'm leaning. He doesn't have the talent to make it in football at the next level but very well may in baseball. Might as well give it a shot. And I guess if baseball doesn't work out, he can always design airplanes. What a problem to have
