I am posting this from the VolNation web site. I didn't start it but just passing it on.

This story rips my heart out. Go visit Vols Love Jax Facebook page and show your support. I say the SEC can show some love also. Take pictures with your teams colors and lift this family up!

Here is the original post.

A friend of mine has started a Facebook page called "Vols Love Jax." There is a little boy at Cincinnati Children's Hospital named Jax, age 2 1/2, who is affected by a very rare autosomal recessive disorder called Hurler Syndrome. According to my friend Alana, Jax is a huge UT fan and is nearing the end of his time on Earth. Alana has asked me and a bunch of her other friends to post pics on this Facebook page wearing our UT orange and holding a sign that says "Vols Love Jax!" to show some love and support to Jax and his family. I thought I could help out a little further by bringing the task to the Vol Nation family.

If you want to participate, just go to your Facebook page, type in "Vols Love Jax" in the search box at the top of the screen, and it will take you to the page. You can see where this is already caught on amongst the team and our coaches, as CBJ, Jalen Hurd, and several other of our coaches and players have already heard about this and we got to participate. Please help show this sweet little boy and his family some love and support, Don your orange and white, and take a pic of yourself to post on the page with your "Vols Love Jax" sign.

I believe there is also a Twitter campaign going to trend #VolsLoveJax as well.

Side note: my friend Alana is a huge Bama fan. I Believe that actions like this truly show how love and compassion for others can transcend petty things such as our "allegiances" to our favorite teams.

Heartbreaking. Alana is my niece. Her daughter Tillery has been in and out of Cincinnati Children's since Oct '13.

Jax' outlook is pretty shaky. But this type of support gives the family and close friends a little bit of hope and comfort.

thanks,Prof. We've visited them twice at Cincinnati Children's. That facility is amazing. They do remarkable work but at the same time you see things that will just absolutely break your heart.

I can only imagine. I don't think I could handle seeing children go through so much. It worried me to death when my baby cousin had to go to Cleveland Clinic. Thankfully, he's doing well now. Little guy is a ray of sunshine every time I see him.

Little fellow passed away this afternoon. Prayers to the family.

Hug your kids and pray for those you know with a child that has health issues.

So sorry for your family's loss. I hope that everyone can find comfort and hold on to great memories with the youngster. Take care.
