I've heard a lot about Botch getting fired soon and a good replacement but who will the interim HC be? Vols is there a guy on the staff that can have the vols more competitive for the rest of the season and keep players from transferring?

You don't bring in a IHC outside the current program. Has to be a coordinator.

CPF.

Although, I wouldn't be surprised to see UTK administration offer it to Allie LaForce.

She would definitely be more inspirational to the players than Butch.

I really wouldn't be against Shoop taking the IHC role. Our defense IS looking better (despite what 41-0 looks like on the surface), but there is only so much they can do when the offense is constantly 3 and out. If Butch would relinquish the reigns to Shoop, I think our defense would continue to get better, and with Butch and his offense out of the equation, the whole team would. Let Shoop make the most out of, or squander, the opportunity, but at the very least he's a smart, well spoken guy. Why not?

An interim would be an existing staff coach.

I know, I am wondering who they would promote.

If they promote from the staff, it would likely be either Hoke or OC Larry Scott. He was the interim at Miami after Golden was fired.
