i unfortunately work with some OU blowhards and my bro and sister in law went there and i hear about how great OU is going to be 12 months a year

long story short they are all going to Knoxville this year and my bro in law was telling me tonight how Tennessee wont be able to stop their 2 headed RBs. He's predicting a blowout, im just praying that it will be a tough game for them

whats the pulse on the UT side towards this game?

i really think OU is going to surprise some people this year. they return most of their team and play in a shitty conference, i could see them winning 10/11 games.

I don't know the season I think rides on this game. I know it early but a win against boomer sooner could really boost some confidence... UT will win big..... nike baby

This is a really big one for Jones/Tennessee. If they are going to take the next step, they've gotta win this one. Really, no excuse for them not to.

In all honesty, I want to see tennessee being the old tennessee they used to be about a decade ago. I really don't believe the hype until I see it. Dobbs was terrible his true freshman year, and I thought he was just ok last year passing wise. I really hope Tennessee beats the hell out of Oklahoma, but until that happens, I'm not convinced quite yet.

UT may keep it close for the first half, but OU will win by about 17.

UT is a dead program and OU has that elite O line to open up holes for those all star RBs.

So to answer your inquiry, 50/50.

I think a lot of people don't realize just how good Tennessee's defensive line is going to be.

Yes, it's a night game and Neyland should be a madhouse.

As usual, OU has the most talent in the Big 12 by a mile. Personally, I think the Stoops era is on its last legs (losing 89-26 in the last two games against fricking Baylor can't sit well there) and OU perennially underachieves as much as any team in the nation, but Stoops lives for shite like this. Nothing would make him happier than going into an SEC stadium and winning an early season night game.

For football reasons, OU still has a nasty pass rush and that gave Tennessee all sorts of issues in that game last year. Not completely sold on OU QB situation, and they are installing a new offense, but I think Stoops and co. find a way to get this one before rolling over and playing dead in three abysmal conference losses.

Yeah, I'm probably going to do the same. Tennessee was in that game last year other than a couple horrific mistakes. I'm not sure how good Tennessee's d tackles will be, but them playing well is essential for a W. Neyland will be a mad house and OU really hasn't been that good the last couple years.

Striker might give Dobbs some real trouble, but other than him and Zack Sanchez OU's defense was pretty poor last year.

UT had QB 'Statue' Worley standing back there getting corn holed the whole game. Dobbs will make it a bit harder for them to get pressure.
