Yeah 1 out of every 6. We'll never win again

SC has never won 5 out of every 6 over an extended period of time against Clemson

Bowden beat SC 7 out of 9. Clemson beat SC 4 times in a row, 4 different times since 1990 or so. It doesn't seem likely SC will win this year which will make 3-5 over the past 8 years with next year being at Clemson for 4-5.

It's bowling green, though
For as long as Tennessee has been down, this shouldn't make any difference at all. Shouldn't matter if they were playing Gallaudet School for the Deaf, this is supposed to be Tennessee's rebirth.

I'd say that Vol fans suck, but chug is the more accurate verb.

A neutral site game against Bowling Green is about as dumb as it gets from the administration. Who would ever drive 3.5 hours to sit in 90 degree weather to watch Tennessee dismantle a MAC school?

True fans.

heh, or true fans that are excited about the season.

esp a game in the state capital in a stadium that holds THIRTY FOUR THOUSAND less people

UGA would sell out any gme in Atlanta, or Savannah if we played there

Aubiie or Bammer would sell out any game in Bham or Mobile

3 and a half hours from obKnoxville?

wah...

Attendance is falling nation wide, this is like a big issue affecting most schools.

A non-campus game against a garbage team was a bad idea.

Because schools take the fans for granted. They think we want luxury but really all we want is great football at an affordable price in a real college football atmosphere. Neutral sites, mid major games, and the soaring cost of season tickets is ruining college football. College football is trying to become NFL Lite and they may get what they wish for if they are not careful. The only reason we watch college is because it is a better product with all the traditions, road trips, campus visits, etc.

Agreed, the cost of attending a game has skyrocketd, meanwhile the game experience doesn't have the huge edge over TV it used to have.

And the crazy part is that they should be taking all these extra millions from the tv deals to give the fans a better, more affordable experience in the stands, but instead they are jacking up prices and giving us shitty non conference games at an even higher rate.

I mean, I and a group of my friends are going and we don't have tickets yet. I'm sure that's the case for a lot of people

actually agree with this. No one wants to spend a long holiday weekend to travel to Nashville, sit in 95 degree weather at 3:00 in the afternoon, to watch UT blow out a MAC school. It's just not appealing for most people. If they already live in Nashville, great. But I just fail to see the allure of the game at all for a UT fan from out of town.

So when it does sell out will you come back and apologize for being wrong?

1. It's in Nashville and is competing against the last Boomsday in Knoxville (a big deal for Knoxvillians and the entire area).

2. Nissan Stadium has a bad rep among locals.

3. It will likely be sold out by game time. Most will likely pick up tix that day.

4. I'd rather it be at Neyland. A neutral site game in Nashville against BG is just kind of meh, especially when folks have to decide between going or watching it on tv and enjoying the rest of the Labor Day weekend activities with family and friends. It's great for Nashville peeps but not for those in Knoxville who usually have an entire slate of activities planned for the weekend. Someone bigger than BG would've been a bigger draw.

5. The real opener will be sold out.

I don't think the SC-NC game is sold out tomorrow and it is closer to USC's campus than Nashville is UTK's and they are playing a border Power 5 school.

So maybe you should ridicule them.

Also I think this will sell out by gametime, Nashville has a lot of T-Shirt Vol fans that will decide Friday/Sat after the weather forcast comes out if they want to come.

South Carolina isn't Big 6.

They don't have the passionate fan base who appreciates their "rich history and heritage" like y'all do.

The only explanation is that tVols don't travel well.

Correction, having these off campus games is not a bad idea. Charging out the arse for them and letting non donors (see also professional scalpers) and non alumni (see also Ticketmaster et al) get the best seats first is the bad idea.
