Brick by brick he is making progress. He is just weeding out the quitters right now. Three more years and he has this ship sailing in the right direction. Keep the faith.

You gave your troll thread away by writing Botch in the title. Nice try. We both know he's terrible.

I still support Coach Jones.

Lots of injuries this year, QB who is very limited in some areas of the game. He is still the guy. I googled him a while back.

"In 2009 he guided the Chippewas to their third MAC Championship in four years after an 8–0 MAC schedule, the first time in school history the Chippewas went undefeated in the MAC."

On December 16, 2009, Jones was named head coach at the University of Cincinnati.[1] He replaced Brian Kelly, who left to become head coach at Notre Dame.[3] Jones had previously replaced Kelly at Central Michigan.[4]

"Jones led the Bearcats to records of 4–8 in 2010 and 10–3 in 2011, including a Big East championship, a Liberty Bowl victory (31–24 over Vanderbilt), and he was named Big East Coach of the Year. Also in 2011, Cincinnati was the only program to win both its conference championship as well as the league's team academic award."

Can he step up in the big show? We'll see.

SEC teams who looked for greener pastures: Bammer, UA, UGA, UT (already) - it doesn't usually work out very well.

UT is not at that point yet by a long sight.

Does not appear as if he will replace Kelly for a third time and wind up as Notre Dame coach.

He's a full 1/10th as good as Les, so he deserves an extension.

So you want to restart the whole thing and have another 3 years of futility? Or maybe hire another Derek Dooley, or maybe the next Lane Kiffin? CBJ still hasn’t had sufficient time.

I said on the Rant Saturday with about 7 minutes to go in the USCe game. If we hold the ball we win. Their defense was starting to wear down. I think Dobbs threw an INT on the very next play. How is that Coach Jones’ fault?

Now that Hurd has gone on to his just deserts, let’s see how they do against Tech on Saturday. If they come out flat, then CBJ is not earning his $4,000,000/year. if they lose ANY of the remaining games, ditto.

Plus – he is not getting fired at the end of this season without some really over the top incident coming to light, so just settle down, chief.

Wait, so you don't put any blame on the coach based on the QB's performance?

"The 2007 Tennessee Volunteers football team represented the University of Tennessee in the 2007 NCAA Division I FBS football season. They won the Eastern Division of the Southeastern Conference before falling to the eventual national champion LSU Tigers in the SEC Championship Game. The Vols capped off the season by defeating the Wisconsin Badgers in the Outback Bowl to finish with a record of 10–4." - wiki
