Isn't the strange that the vast majority of folks making this claim are either A)Auburn fans (for obvious reasons since CMR has owned their arse) B) Opposing fans who live in this state and who are too big of a pussy to say anything to their co-workers or neighbors. So they just spew this garbage on a message board because they might have run into an obnoxious Ga fan in a bar or heard one on talk radio.
Still waiting on specific examples of what happened to you that hasn't happened at other schools.
Like I said,been going to SEC games for over 30 years and been to almost every visiting stadium (except Miss schools,Arky and A&M)and almost all the experiences were the same.LSU was a bit more rowdy than the rest but that was to be expected.
Either some of you use vagisil on a regular basis or you just get your jollies trolling our fan base on a message board.

I hate UGA with the burning heat of 1000 suns, but when my good UGA friend invited me to go with him to the UGA/Colorado game 8 or 9 years ago, I wore black slacks and a plain red polo.

I would agree with this. I had the same experience. To be fair, LSU fans can be just as bad to opposing fans.

an irrational and pathological hatred for the Vols.

I lived in Little Rock for 3 years. Nicest people in the world. Non threatening football program. And i still find it very difficult to ever pull for them.

Most inhospitable away game I have gone to was in BR in 03. As we were sitting in slow rolling traffic trying to get parked, we were getting cussed at from both side of the street where Tiger tailgates were taking place. There were no less than 10 children between ages 8-12 that walked to the edge of the road and flipped us birds while yelling "tiger bait" while the grown ups cussed us from farther back. Kind of liked it to be honest. Getting accosted by coonass grown ups and their inbred children was novel and a new experience.
What wasn't funny was the dozens of vehicles with Ga plates or UGA decals being vandalized during the game. Luckily, I had the fore site to put our flags and decals in the trunk and was missed. Dude two cars down had his flags ripped off and tires slashed.

Some LSU bozo wearing a purple HOCKEY jersey and jeans in september gave me crap going into the stadium in 2003. I am smart enough to realize he was an exception to the rule though.

I kept to myself the whole game and 80% of the time fans said I was lost or in the wrong town. Two occasions I was met with hostility without provoking anything. One guy yelled to me in the restroom, "fournette likes it in the butt and I'm going to beat your arse and frick you". Bama fans actually pulled the guy out of the restroom. A couple guys don't make a fanbase, but damn this dude was pissed about an lsu fan at halftime.

I went to an LSU UGA game and my friend drove up from auburn. Was just wearing an auburn hat but got so much shite and ended up with a bloody nose. They def hate auburn more than LSU fans.

Sure, sure. If it makes you feel better, it was only a small sample of the thousands of kids I saw that day. No chance you would believe that some drunk as shite and amped up jersey wearing adults would get some shits and giggles out of watching their kids flip off opposing fans. Gotcha

I went to an LSU/UGA game in Athens in the late 80's as a teenager, got scalped for tickets, but had GREAT seats, 50 yard line in a sea of UGA fans. The game ended up a blowout by LSU (Tommy Hodson to Tony Moss repeatedly) and every time LSU scored, me and my buddy were pelted in the back of the head by cups FULL of ice, I'll NEVER go back to Athens to watch a game, it was a horrible experience for a 15 year old. IMO UGA fans are the worst fans in the country, and I have good reason to feel that way!!!
