IMO, UGA fans are the worst in the conference as far as being jackasses.

I give bama fans a lot of shite, but bama fans have more class than UGA fans when it comes to being decent people.

Is there an APB out for the 13 year old girl who shanked you in the calf and stole your corn dog?

Come on man you need some justice for this attack!

People who wear their school gear to go to other games are ridiculous

Agreed...I was at the Wake Forest vs Florida State game this weekend and saw a dbag gator fan wearing a blue Florida shirt and gator chomping the FSU fans. He ended up getting kicked out and while doing so pushed a police officer and got taken down hard. Was hilarious but he was asking for it.

I never realized some people were so salty about people wearing 3rd party team gear at games.

I see random dudes wearing like LSU or Auburn apparel sometimes at Alabama games (when not playing those teams) and I think nothing of it, it's actually kinda funny IMO.

I would consider wearing an Alabama shirt to a game Alabama wasn't playing in, but in my life I've gone to three college football games that Alabama wasn't playing in and all of them were when I was a kid.

I don't have have a problem with people wearing 3rd party gear. It's when people do that and then whine when people talk shite to them.

When you wear third party gear, you are drawing attention to yourself. If you go to bars, you're going to be around drunk people. Don't do that unless you can handle it.

I was just saying I wish we had a better reputation. Some of our fans are assholes, but I feel like the majority are good people, and everything I saw between Bama and UGA fans was great.

OP, what in the world do you mean you were attacked? People spitting on you too?

Yeah, that's pretty fair. I think it also depends on what game you're wearing your own team's gear to. If I were to wear my UGA stuff to a Washington-Wisconsin game that's one thing, but to wear it to an SEC game and to expect not to be mocked is a little ridiculous.

I thought I was on an island as far as how I felt about UGA fans. It's like one poster said, their rudeness, their classlessness is underrated. I completely understood the implications of UGA beating Bama, and how it would help us, but I thoroughly enjoyed that game. It was even more satisfying to see Bama score TD after TD and not even stoop to UGA's level, by taunting the fans.

Sorry to the UGA posters on here who surprisingly remind me of nothing I seem to experience everytime I am around their fans at games. Y'all are good, but you have a good 20% that make you look so bad. The painted morons looking like rejects from a Mad Max movie included.

Last time LSU played in Georgia was enough for me. The fans in the stadium were absolutely horrible

I grew up in BR and have been to Tiger Stadium many times. I now live in Athens and have UGA season tickets.

On the whole Georgia fans are less rowdy than LSU fans. Less in your face but also less likely to offer you food/beer. But i can't vouch for the interface with the students at Sanford because i sit opposite them. Dozens of games at Sanford and i have NEVER witness poor behavior towards visitors. But again, im on the established, older, alumni side.

Re: LSU-UGA after the 2003 game at Tiger Stadium there were a lot of LSU fans out and out ragging on UGA fans after the game. There were a bunch of LSU kids at the tailgate next to mine waiting for UGA fans to come by and then ambushing them with hollering 'yall suck' stuff like that. UGA was defending SEC champs and LSU was up and coming fast. The game was really tense with a dramatic ending. I think there was a tremendous release of emotion afterward. But i think word of that got around. That along with LSU's craziness reputation in general and now UGA fans are particularly nasty to LSU fans.

For a while it seemed like LSU fans' reputations were the worst (my entire family went to LSU) but they seemed to have recognized it and a had a grassroots effort to clean it up. Seems like the environment at Tiger Stadium is a lot less confrontational these days.

My experience for all fan bases is all about the same, and I bet UGA's fans are like all others: a few A holes among thousands.

This is literally the same for every fanbase that is a legit program. You just confirmed what every UGA fan will tell you, about 80% of us are good.

At an LSU tailgate you Are usually welcome wearing your school's colors wether they be our opponent that week or not. That's what sets LSU tailgating apart from the tailgating posers.

Gave up my lurker status to comment on this. My crew and I were in BR a couple weeks ago for the Auburn game and I can honestly state that the LSU Fans were the nicest, most hospitable people I have ever ran into at away games. We were getting fireball shots minutes after getting out of the car and were fed some of the best fish and shrimp I had ever had. We were immediately welcomed into "their" party without hesitation . Inspired me to up my game for visiting fans at Auburn.

It would be nice if people acted human. You should be able to wear your teams gear to another game and not have to worry about being harassed. If anything, it should stimulate conversation with the fans. But there is about as much chance of that happening as a decent conversation on this board.
