Select schools.

OSU 3/1
Bama 6/1
TCU 7/1
AU 10/1
UGA 20/1
LSU 24/1
MSU 28/1
Ole Miss 30/1

Odds are from the Wynn.

My thoughts: Not enough value to take OSU. About right for AU and Bama. Would not touch TCU, no way they beat two power schools in playoffs if they made it.

I think my favorite is UGA for value.

There is no value in any of these. These(year long) are sucker bets.

We don't belong nearly that high IMO.

I believe that we will be extremely solid at every position on the field except probably the most important one. Our defense should be awesome in year 2 of pruitt, OL should be almost as good as last year, WRs, TEs, and RBs shoudl all be weapons. But we simply don't have a QB right now. I wouldn't put any money down on that bet.

I'd take UGA at those odds for sure.

I put 100 on AU just to have something on AU, don't think there is any real value there.

May put 20 on UGA just because I want to take someone else too.

BTW, all the other SEC schools were over 50/1.

My head says yes...then I remember Mark Richt has consistently figured out how to frick it up every year.

Is there an easy way to see what the pre-season odds were for the last few years winners?

I'm not sure why you and others want to do that to yourself, and I'm a UGA fan. There are some years where we have the pieces in place for a run. This isn't one of those years. Save your money.

But of course...I'm sure after our first loss everyone will come on here lamenting the fact that they threw their money away and UGA gonna UGA and blah blah, even though I'm telling you now we aren't winning a title this year.

I'm realistic and know that in all likelihood, it ain't gonna happen this year. But aside from QB, things are lined up about as good this year as any other year.

If you replaced "pieces" with "quarterback", I think no one could disagree with you. If Hutson Mason were coming back, our odds would be much better. And he wasn't even very good. If we get lucky and get reasonably consisten play from whoever wins the starting job, it could make for a very dangerous team.
