Vandy fans: what the hell was your coach talking about in his press conference?
Posted on 9/16/14 at 7:01 pm to SECSolomonGrundy
What press conference? Can you give some details?

Why does he end every sentence with okay?

South Carolina will lose to Vanderbilt on Saturday night.

Hail... you're beginning to worry me. Climb off that Notre Dame induced Michigan ledge and take a walk.

My poor father (a long, long-suffering Vandy fan) might literally die with a great big smile on his face if that happens.

Can't say I'd be surprised.

I wish we had the Vandy fans back. :(

Vandy winning one SEC game will be shock to me and arguably when this season is all said and done might be the biggest upset of the year in the SEC, unless one of their opponents simply implodes this year.

From Vandy writer. Not sure if it has anything to do with the QBs........

I had family in town tonight so had a dinner to attend. Since getting home I have been trying to find info about this and what I know is that the news dropping tomorrow has something to with an incident back in January and it had something to do with a certain player on the team now and a fellow recruit.
If anyone remembers something coming out back in January about a recruit on campus that seemed to do something wrong, well this has come back to the public eye. Now I do not know any exact details or players name but apparently the news tomorrow is big.
Will bring more here when I get it.

What the ever-loving-frick is this statement?
(Per TheCheshireHog's link above)
(Per TheCheshireHog's link above)
quote:
Does Mason regret the way the quarterbacks have been handled? His answer caused more questions that went unanswered.
“I’m not second-guessing at all,” he said. “I’m never going to second-guess myself on those things. You look into a player’s eyes, and you know. With Patton, there are things you don’t know. If you guys knew the story, then you guys would understand what I understand about Patton. Sometimes, you have to protect players from themselves, OK? With that being the case, I’m going to leave it at that. Let’s continue to move forward.”

All I can make of this statement is that Patton is the more talented QB of the 4 they have but he is very weak mentally and maybe a fragile leader if not a leader at all. He is trying to protect him in some weird way by playing the other QB's so they can shoulder the blame is the only logical sense I can make of the situation. If its true Patton is not a leader and mentally weak, then that shite he said should of stayed in the locker room and just gave the media the coach talk. Vandy's QB situation makes less sense then the Arkansas State fake punt.
