Also, it's best if a team runs a spread offense to beat the Tide. A pro style offense hasn't beaten the Tide since 2011.

And it wasn’t so much that offense that beat Alabama seeing as how they scored 9 points including OT. That defense is what beat Alabama.

Alabama’s defense has struggle at times with the consistently make something happen out of nothing busted play type QBs with dynamic reviewers they can get the ball too usually on the run. Other than that Alabama has been virtually shutting everything else down for 10 years now.

It takes an incredibly accurate dual threat QB to beat the Tide. Kirby's defenses at Bama always had trouble stopping dual threat QB. Also, it's best if a team runs a spread offense to beat the Tide. A pro style offense hasn't beaten the Tide since 2011.

so far Kirbys 2017 defense has stopped several good dual threat QBs (Taylor Lamb, Brandon Wimbush, Nick Fitzgerald)

Pro-style can mean a lot of things. Modern pro-style uses a lot of spread concepts.

A traditional downhill running game and pocket passing game could beat Alabama if they had the personnel to control the line of scrimmage against them along with threatening athletes on the perimeter. No one has had that since 2009 or so. Georgia in 2012 was closest. Actually moved the ball well enough in that game to win.

Georgia wouldn't attempt that this year. We would be spreading the field.

A few big plays and this thing swings

Like a blocked FG TD or an INT in the end zone. That was a 10-14 point swing in 2012.
