Mike Leach would wreck shite at UT, and you guys can wear pirate outfits on Saturdays.

But seriously, you guys always get stud WRs. And Leach is one hell of a QB developer.

The Pirate don't need no stinking Defense. He'd get murdered in the SEC.

I say hire him Vols!

He's a better coach than 3/4 of the current SEC coaches. Proven winner, little quirky, but would be an excellent pickup.

Would be a massive upgrade over Botch, would give better pressers than Dooley too.

Leach wouldn't leave Washington State for Tennessee

The Pirate and The Butt-Chuggers.

Sounds like an old Outlaw Country song.

You serious Clark?

UT is a top job in the country. And in the SEC. And they can recruit nationally. Wazzu won't ever sniff the playoffs.

Coonskin caps and a chance to immerse himself in civil war history.

I feel both are more valuable than money to Leach.

Just a hypothetical, how would Leach do at LSU? His air raid with LSU talent would be vicious.

I do not want that ax grappling weirdo anywhere near my VOLS.

Come home, King Jon

I don't know that he would.

For starters, he's from the west so Washington State isn't far from home. After that, there's a world of difference between coaching at Texas Tech & Washington State versus a place that sees contending for their division as the lowest acceptable level of performance. That's a ton of pressure.

He's making $3 million a year, which is way more than enough to keep him wealthy for life so it becomes a question of what you want to accomplish in your career. If he wants a chance to regularly contend for a title, the he might take another job. If he wants to have fun press conferences, win a bunch of games, and every now and then either make a run at a conference title or frick up someone else's run without having to worry about getting canned after a couple of bad seasons then he'll spend the next 15 years in Pullman loving life and pulling down $3 mil a season.

Solid argument.

But did I mention Tennessee has a Navy? Uh oh, Leach maybe swayed by that alone.

He was living in Key West before taking the WSU job. I don't think location matters to him at all. However, he does seem like the kind of coach that likes to be at a lower expectation/less stress school. I don't think he would deal well with SEC media and fans.

Why make a lateral move to a shithole like Knoxville with a fan base full of filthy animals that shove funnels up their fartholes to chug alkyhall

Lol, Knoxville is nicer than any shithole located in Alabama. There's a reason why the Tennessee River enters Alabama then turns around and goes the other way.

You should "lateral move" into oncoming traffic

He/she is just scared. Bama fans know Leach runs the type of offense that gives Saban fits.

I don't want this to happen. Leach is one of my favorite personalities in sports. I would hate for him to end up chugging vodka through his sphincter and sodomizing Blue Tick Hounds.
