And they are just now looking like an average football team. Will LSU fans be able to handle what comes with looking for the right coach?

Its better than staying with a coach who will continue to take this team downhill

Youre basically comparing Tennessee's ability to recruit to LSU's.

Punch yourself in the face, Tennessee has no local talent to fall back on

That's not necessarily true.

It's possible you hire a grade-A coach who will stop the bleeding and restore LSU to the ranks of the elite. But it's equally possible that the top candidates remain where they are and LSU gets stuck with a B-lister who makes the bleeding go even faster.

We would have been fine had we hired Gary Patterson instead of Lane Kiffin. LSU fans have no faith in their AD, don't know why so many are confident that they'll land Herman.

And if they don't land Herman, who do they go for? Jimbo underperforms just as much as Les does apart from 2 years with Winston, Shaw wouldn't leave Stanford. They'll be hard pressed to find a coach who can not only recruit as well as Les has, but also develop the talent and form a team capable of usurping Alabama and winning the SEC.

Bama went from ~93 - 08. A few decent season sprinkled in.

I wouldn't be surprise if Alleva gets the ax as well. TAF has had enough of his bullshite.

Yeah, the Nashville area has not produced many quality players at all the past 4-5 years. No in-state talent at all on the current VOLS roster.

Imagine if Tennessee could find guys like Jalen Hurd, Jauan Jennings, Josh Malone, Derek Barnett, Todd Kelly Jr, Jalen Reeves-Maybin, Rashaan Gaulden, Jashon Robertson and Jack Jones in state.

It's not like a group of 10-12 Tennessee born players engineered the beat down of Florida's finest.

Oh ok thats great and all but Louisiana has about double the talent that UT has which is the point. "No" is definitely a hyperbole I used to prove the point

eta: I obviously struck an insecurity/nerve with vols fans

Unreal how people think the state of Tennessee is like Iowa when it comes to high school talent. The 70/80s were a long time ago,
