Since 2002, the team with the most rushing yards wins the game.

UF's run defense has been pretty decent although we have given up some long runs like the UK QB last night.

And UF's run offense has been pretty subpar so I'd be surprised if we win the rushing battle this year.

So... Who wins the rushing battle and ultimately, the game this year?

Hargreaves was restricted illegally just a tad on that long one.

Our running game is terrible. So we'll win the running game 70 yds to 60 yds.

I like tennessee's running game with Hurd, Kamara, and Dobbs.. But I don't like anything vs Florida so who knows.

I'm pretty confident we win the rushing battle, but no so much that we win the game. Hopefully this trend holds true. Also, it's safe to say that UF is the best run D we will have faced all year to this point, and vice versa.

Western Carolina ran for almost 200 yards on UT. I like Florida to win this game, close. If it were in Knoxville I'd go with UT.

We have no reason to lose this game other than its florida and we are tennessee, so we will definitely lose this game.

Take away two long runs against the scout team and that number drops below 100. They also had <100 passing yards for the game.

200 yards on UT

When though? If it was garbage time it doesn't matter all that much.

If it was in the first couple of quarters then that's impressive. If it was against the backups, not so much.

Florida is giving up less than 2 yards per carry.

They have also been good getting to the QB. 11 sacks in 3 games.

Basically, the front 7 has just been ridiculous.

UF is going to disrupt the hell out of UT's offense.

The question is if Florida's offense can score enough points to win the game. I have my doubts. Will be close either way.

They had a 64 yard run and a 45 yard run against the 2nd/3rd team defense. They may have gained 50 or so total against the first team.

UT fans - How good of a down field passer is Dobbs? Seems like a lot of his passes are 10 yards and under, or am I wrong? If our safeties don't have to respect the deep pass and can come down hill, someone may be decapitated by Neal

Right. That's what I though.

Reminds me of UK last night. Take away that QB run and UK had less than 100 rushing yards.

Which makes sense considering we were in the UK backfield on every damn play.

I didn't think that until last night. They completely destroyed UK's line.

Partly because the secondary was keeping their receivers blanketed.

And the 30 yard run right before the half too. Defense was nasty last night.

He has an arm but his accuracy is hit or miss. Can throw short and intermediate fairly well but struggles with the deep ball. The receivers need to help him out more than they have been lately though, by getting more separation and not dropping passes. I would say our passing offense is the weakest area of our team right now.

It's not arm strength though right, he seemed to have a gun from the OU game, you just didn't call too many deep shots.

He has the arm. The accuracy can sometimes be suspect.

Of course when he hits them right in the hands and they drop it ...
