I don't get why they hired this guy and not Orgeron. Orgeron had HC experience and went 6–2 as interim. This guy has no experience and went 6–2 as interim (counting the Bowl game he coached in '13).
Maybe USC sees something in this guy the way Oregon saw something in Helfrich. Maybe it'll work out like he's worked out for them. But I can't believe USC has made three underwhelming hires directly in a row after the clout that Pete Carroll had established for them. Their days as a relevant program are numbered if they keep this stupid shite up.
